The other day Elliot let out a “woof”. I found him staring out the screen door at the cows. This was the first time this year the cows have been in this field, so Elliot didn’t know what they were. We went out on the front porch and sat on the top steps. Elliot kept looking at the cows, then back at me like he was asking, “what are those?!?”. After a few minutes he moved down to the bottom of the steps and sat. I put his leash on him then asked if he’d like to get closer. We got closer to the fence and the cows started to notice us, Elliot was close enough for him. We watched the cows and their calves for a few minutes, then Elliot wanted to go back in the house
