Gosh I've not made it well not yet anyway found a site called pulldoggies and it shows how to make a cheap sled easy will be done by the weekend will post some pics wen its done xx was just wondering if it'd be ok to use 1 like this cus I can't really afford to buy 1 xx

Yes that will be fine Shell, but its best to get the dog used to wearing a harness first, once the dog is used to the harness try hooking some noisy things to the harness (I use empty cans) until the dog is used to that and finaly start getting the dog use to the sled (empty) and then gradualy start building the weight up in increcments of about 5lbs every week, then more, I started training Bullseye with 5lbs then the next week 10lbs and so on... also you need a command such as "pull" or "work" or whatever, but which ever one you choose make sure you stick to it I strongly advise you do not to use toys, especially if you intend competing at sactioned days, plus they pull a lot smoother rather than lunging like some eratic nut jobbronwynandkai wrote:

Thanks for the tips john xx he already pulls on command and without toys I've got this homemade toy its 2 bottles tied at each end of a length of washing line he picks up 1 bottle and the other bottle follows behind him he's ready to go all he needs to do is get used to the harness and he's good to go he loves it gets all excited now we've started goin out on our own 1 on 1 he's doin loads better am quite lucky really he really wants to work xx
