Excercise/feeding

Post by bully1995 » March 8th, 2016, 12:15 pm

Hi everyone I have a 4 month old american bulldog had her since she was 8 weeks and she is great! I'm just looking for a abit of information on how long I should be excercising her at this age I take her over the local park for around 20-30mins a day she only runs when she wants ect I don't work her to do anything I let her just have fun! Some have said this is too much excercise some say this is not enough any opinions on this welcome? Also my second question is feed how do people feed there bully's to this age she's currently on jwb dry food and is having her daily amount but lately she just doesn't seem to eat as much I've tried putting water on it ect but she just isn't interested? Thanks :)

Adult dogs tend not to eat as quickly as pups, also if she is the only dog you have, there will be no competition consequently no need to eat it as quickly, make sure that you leave plenty of fresh water out at all times, but don't leave the food out all day, only put it down once a day, as for exercise let her be the judge.....

Well some days she is hungry, some days not, it's unlikely that she will starve herself ;) I am not familiar with JWB is it a dry feed?

James Wellbeloved is good for a pup, when she get to one year, I would recommend Pero Premium, but this is high protein you will need to get the feed to exercise ratio correct...

Oh OK... So there should be plenty of good places to take her for a run, although I wouldn't recommend off lead stuff in public places just incase there are unreliable dogs around :)

Have you any photos of her?
