I'm probably getting myself confused here ha ha!! The dry mixer is something that my friend adds to her dogs raw diet but I'm not sure if that's the best idea from what I've read. Saying all that, at the moment, just taking out the tiny bit of wet food and cutting his dry food down seems to have helped him a lot - we've had just one accident through the night over the weekend and he seems able to hold it longer. Fingers crossed - again - lol!! Will keep u posted.

Re: Separation anxiety
Hi. I'm trying not to make this become an obsession but I think its too late for that now!! Since I last posted I decided to mark the calendar with a clean night or a dirty night. It has been nine days since I last posted and out of those three have been dirty which is really good progress. We have had 3 clean nights off the trot, so tonight will be the night to break the record as 3 has been his best so far. We have cut down their breakfasts and have decided that from today they will only have 1 meal a day. They are both fed (less than before) at 5/5.30pm and are taken out for a walk at 8/8.30pm. Again, trying not to be OCD about it but watch Billy like a hawk to make sure he has a poo, (armed with a torch lol!) which he always does. So, again back to having the fingers crossed, but so far so good. Keeping up with putting him on his bed and keeping him close on the walks which is all helping in my opinion. Thanks for the interest, really glad I found the forum as it has been very helpful. It was recommended by a Staffy Rescue in the North East that I contacted for some advice, so you are very well publicised up here. Thanks again!

Re: Separation anxiety
No problem, glad we could help, the report you just posted up is very promising, don't worry about being obsessed, I've done things like that, I made a chart once, things like that do help a lot
Keep us posted as always, it's really good to hear that he is doing well

Re: Separation anxiety
Thank you. Marking the calendar kept us focused on the positives rather than the negatives so by doing that we can really see the progress he's made. Onwards and upwards!!
