Sporting dog clubs up North?

Post by SLC » September 27th, 2012, 4:38 pm

Are there any?

From what I can find there doesn't seem to be any events similar to that of the ACES club up north?
The closest thing I found was a post from someone called Northern Staffords about a northern aces club based in Durham but I cant find any more info.

I would like to join in activities such as vertical climb, long jump, lure racing ,hangtime and similar..

I know there are some great clubs down south that are worth the travel but I would prefer something closer to home.

If anyone knows of any clubs or is interested in setting one up please get in touch.

Hello Sasha,

There is a lot of interest up North, but don't seem to be much in the way of general Canine athletics, the Players club have weight pull, you may have to start something up, ACES may be able to help you set up if you ask them, they helped set up the CCA (Cotswold Canine Athletics)
